Stuart Glass
Stuart Glass is President and Chief Creative Officer of Stuart Glass Design Group, a cutting-edge New York based brand strategy and design consultancy. He is a recognized expert in brand design with twenty years of experience. Stuart is acting CEO of Signature Elements.
Stuart served as Director, Environmental Design and Retail Branding at Lippincott (Marsh & McLennan), one of the world's premier global brand design firms. There he built an autonomous environmental branding department that extended the range of Lippincott's brand strategy and design capabilities through multidisciplinary integration. Clients included national and international consumer product, retail, banking, energy, automotive, consumer electronic, hospitality and travel companies.

Prior to his position at Lippincott, Stuart was invited to join Landor Associates (WPP Group), a major international player in strategic branding and design arena to serve as Creative Director and to help build their "Strategic Retail Group" - an innovative retail brand design division. As Creative Director, Stuart was the creative force responsible for directing and orchestrating Landor's multidisciplinary strategic retail design projects on four continents. Among his many accomplishments, Stuart's design leadership in an international design competition won Landor the Alfred Dunhill account and the distinction of designing the flagship store in London, the prototype of all Alfred Dunhill stores worldwide.

Stuart Glass' other accomplishments include founding Brand Alpha, a successful brand design firm he created early in his career. Stuart also achieved a number of distinctions in the fields of design and technology: he won a number of design awards including two S.M. Hexter National Design Awards. During his thesis year of college, Stuart took a leave of absence to begin work on a technology patent that would prove to be pioneering in the fields of "Virtual Reality", "Telepresence", and "3D/HDTV" technology. In 1982 he was awarded U.S. Patent 4,310,849 for his stereoscopic headset video display system. The high-definition stereoscopic fiber optic headset projects the image data directly onto the retina of the eyes (without a screen) thereby simulating visual reality and the true sense of ‘being there' in the viewer's mind. This unique fiber optic man-machine interface can still be considered cutting-edge by today's standards. His invention was incorporated into a number of experimental Department of Defense projects including virtual remote piloting, remote reconnaissance aircraft, flight simulation, "smart helmets" and other advanced systems. Since 2007, Stuart filed a number of patent applications in various fields including GPS technology.
Stuart Glass began his college education as a (dual) graphic arts and physics major at the CCNY division, City University of New York before transferring into the CCNY School of Architecture. His interest in both design and technology began early and has typified his life's work: At age 23 he became a sculptor. At age seventeen, as a contestant in the "Westinghouse Science Talent Search" - Bell Labs sponsored his project for "Multiplexing Multiple Single Sideband Signals". At age twelve, he was accepted into an advanced art program. When Stuart was nine, he was one of the youngest FCC licensed Amateur Radio Operators and built his own shortwave radio station from the ground up. Stuart was highly influenced by his industrial designer father who taught him that design in nature always integrates art and science. When you think about it, this is the essence of brand design – the integration of marketing science with the art of design.
